The Stewardship Seal™
A relationship, not a sticker.
The Stewardship Seal™ is a certification mark awarded to thermal facilities and training programs that meet The Thermal Stewardship Standard™ — published criteria covering the promise a space makes to a guest, the practice that happens in the room, and the proof that both can be shown when it counts.
It is issued by an independent certifying entity, structurally separate from Longevity Law LLC. The firm performs advisory risk reviews. The certifying entity issues the Seal. Keeping those apart is what makes the Seal worth anything: a body that both fixes the problem and grades the fix is not certifying, it's marketing.
For operators. The Seal is what a Facility IRR can lead to when the findings are addressed.
For training programs. A program-level Seal travels through every graduate you certify — which is the answer when a venue asks what your certificate means.
Status: The Thermal Stewardship Standard is in final drafting and the certifying entity is in formation. Facilities and programs that want to be in the first cohort can start the conversation now.
How it's earned
A mandatory independent onsite audit. Someone walks the space — or takes the training — and measures what actually happens against the published Standard. A Seal is never issued from a desk.
How it stays earned
A three-year re-audit cycle with annual interim attestation. Lapsed operator insurance suspends the Seal, the way a licensing board treats lapsed coverage. A credential that can't be lost isn't a credential.
What it is not
It is not a legal opinion, an insurance endorsement, or a guarantee that nothing will go wrong. It is not pay-to-display. Passing an audit is the only way to hold one. It is not permanent. It expires, and it can be withdrawn.
